Excavator – Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities:

Martin’s is currently seeking a full time excavator operator for the portable crushing plant.  Minimum requirements include a clean driver license and credible experience.  MSHA training is a plus.  Other heavy equipment operation experience a plus 

Required to do routine pre shift checks and execute safe and efficient operation of the excavator and portable plant.

Technical Qualifications:

- Must possess a valid driver license, minimum class C

- Must possess a clean driving record

- Knowledge of products and industry terminology

Required Competencies & Skills:

- Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits

- Punctual and reliable; good attendance required

- Good communication skills – verbal and listening

- Detail-oriented team-player

- Positive, courteous, and helpful approach

- Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills

Physical Requirements & Conditions:

- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed

- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical/drug-alcohol test

- Must be willing to successfully complete paid training program

Education and Work Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
